Overview

Minnesota has dedicated a significant amount of time, energy, and resources into creating a culture of data use in support of teams who are implementing the Pyramid Model. The “Look/Think/Act” cycle is now embedded into Pyramid Model implementation at the local, regional, and state levels. Our goal is to ensure that Pyramid Model sites have usable data collection forms and methods of engaging in data based decision making so that it becomes part of the culture of the program. We believe that using data to inform our practice at multiple levels of implementation ultimately contributes towards a positive impact on the children and families we serve.

Minnesota continues to scale up implementation of the Pyramid Model throughout the state. Resources developed and provided to local Pyramid Model sites through the MN Centers of Excellence (external site) in order to support sites in developing a culture of data use include:

  • Data Manager Training
  • Recorded webinars on each data tool
  • Virtual Data Support
  • Access to ongoing Technical Assistance
  • External Coaching through Professional Development Facilitators
