Additional Training Resources

  • Annual calibration of equipment used to screen hearing is recommended by the U. S Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA), the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Minnesota Department of Health to ensure the accuracy of each machine’s readings. We are pleased to announce that calibration sites, dates and vendors have been posted for the spring of 2021. It is important to pre-register machines for calibration. You will find instructions for completing the pre-registration on the MDH website: Annual Calibration Process for Hearing Screening Equipment: Audiometers, Tympanometers, and Otoacoustic Emission (OAE) (www.health.state.mn.us). Information on the Website includes:
    • Calibration site locations
    • Vendor names, prices, locations and contact information
    • Site dates and times
    • Registration forms
    • Equipment labels
Notice of discontinuation of calibration clinics for year 2022 and beyond:
This will be the last year that MDH will provide a listing of vendor calibration clinics. As you make arrangements for this year's calibration of your audiometers and other equipment, consider planning for your future needs. A list of vendors will remain on this page in 2022 as a reference for you in making your plans.
