BrightWorks
A Minnesota Service Cooperative
Welcome!
BrightWorks (formerly Metro ECSU), a nonprofit educational cooperative, was established in 1976 by the Minnesota Legislature to provide cost-effective, high quality education services and programs to public schools/districts, private schools and nonprofits in the Twin Cities metro area. This organization is member-driven and governed by a Representative Assembly and an Executive Board. Find more information about our organization on the About Us page.
COMPASS Services
Collaborative Minnesota Partnerships to Advance Student Success, COMPASS, is the statewide system for continuous improvement created through a collaboration between the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Minnesota Service Cooperatives. COMPASS is designed to guide and support the examination and improvement of systems. We strive for equitable outcomes by prioritizing access to strong tier 1 instruction for all Minnesota students. COMPASS is the statewide system through which all districts, charter organizations, and schools may receive evidence-based support, all within the MnMTSS framework.
The BrightWorks team provides system-level supports in the areas of Literacy (READ Act), Math, Culture and Climate, Equitable Access and Culturally Responsive School Leadership. Please complete the COMPASS Services Request form to request support.
